Here we are again, catching up!

So today's mani is supposed to be inspired by me. I had trouble thinking about what that meant, so I decided to look through my book of stamps and pick out ones that symbolize different aspects of my life, and stamp over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Day 26 31 DC - Inspired by Your Country

Hi Everyone!

Running behind again. :( So sorry, I really had hoped this past weekend to get the whole rest of the challenge done, but it didn't work out that way. I wasn't feeling well, and things got shoved to the side.

Anyways, this post's inspiration was the United States, and I didn't wanna just do a flag. So, I decided to pick out things that are wholeheartedly American and go from there.

Day 25 31 DC - Inspired by your Childhood

Running late, long time no talk, haha.

Another simple one today, I did Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for my mani today. I tossed around SOOO many ideas for this one, finally settled on doing a show I loved from my childhood. I was going to do Rainbow Brite but it's really late and Ninja Turtles was a close second. So, another simple simple one today.

So, I'm a day behind. Ohh boy.. but on the bright side, I finally bought a car and things seem to be calming down. Hopefully I can get through the rest of this challenge on schedule.

Hi everyone!

So today's post had me lacking for awhile. I don't have a lot of fabrics that I thought would either a) look good on nails or b) I would be capable of recreating on my nails, haha!

Then I got the idea to dig into my fiance's tie collection! He collects lots of ties, and has a TON of Jerry Garcia ones that always have fun patterns and colors :) I decided to go with one of those and here's how it turned out!

Day 21 31DC - Merge/Melt

Hi everyone!

I decided to do a simple gradient today. I was a little confused about todays prompt but it seems it was decided anything that mixes polishes works so a gradient seemed the way to go for me.

I used Sinful Colors Aquamarine and Rain Storm and Wet and Wild Need a Refresh-Mint

Day 15 31DC - Watercolor

Hello Everyone!

I can't believe we are already halfway through the challenge! It's been a trial some days but mostly it's been a lot of fun :) Today's Mani is a watercolor mani. This is yet another one that I've never done before. It came out alright, I think :)

Day 12 31DC - Tape Mani

Hello everyone!!

I had some fun with today's mani :)

I'm usually not patient enough to do a tape mani, because as I've said before I'm very impatient. And tape manis are surely something you really have to wait for the base coat to dry on. So I used a matte polish and a  holo polish and they both dry pretty quickly, so it wasn't too bad. Here's what I came up with.

Day 6 31 DC - Favorite Color Family

Hi Everyone!

I apologize for the late post again, and in advance for this mani. I'm not terribly pleased with it, but when I started this blog I told myself that even when I messed up I would post it, because even things that look easy when you watch a hundred videos and tutorials online are hard when you do them in real life!

With everything that has happened this weekend with my living room basically flooding and my heat not working, and not feeling well to boot, I'm not sure WHY I decided attempting a water marble again was a good idea.. maybe it's the fever.

Day 5 31DC - Purple

Hi everyone! Much later post than in the past few days due to an awful situation. I have been in the habit of writing and scheduling my posts the night before, but yesterday I had a pipe burst in my house so there just wasn't time. Thankfully everything seems to be okay now!

So today's challenge prompt is purple. And here's what I came up with.

Day 3 31DC - Gold

Hi Everyone!!

So today marks day 3 of the challenge! I'm really excited about this mani. Not to toot my own horn, but I think it came out really neat! Not to mention the picture quality is much better, as I'm finally using my actual camera with better lighting.

So, I am super into Steampunk. If you've never heard of it, it's a little hard to describe. Basically, it's Victorian style meets futuristic alternate reality where everything is powered by steam? If that makes any sense whatsoever. It's very industrial, but there's also lacy, dapper elements to it. Do a Google search and you'll see some really neat stuff.

My fiance and I did Steampunk style costumes for Halloween last year. We made all of our accessories ourselves with gears and keys and such from Michael's. So, I decided to utilize them in my nail art for today, and this is the result!

Day 2 31DC - Silver

So today is Day 2 of the 31 Day Challenge!! Today's prompt is silver. I had a little trouble coming up with an idea, but I think I like how this turned out.
